Between 26th January and 4th February I was on some kind of training of my company directly in the US and opportunities likethis need to be utilized for buying some stuff for the car. Unfortunately I could not take with me home bigger things like engine, exhaust or driveline parts so I selected some new smaller things:
Guys from the U.S. Motors Czech discussion forum suggested me a Summit Racing as a good source of stuff. Most of general car parts can be bought there. But some special Camaro things cannot be found in that store therefore I had to look for another one which offers particular Camaro parts. My choice was Eckler's Camaro. I made a deal with my Czech colleague working in the same city as the training was, in Alabama, that I will specify his address for shipping.
Summit Racing
The first shipment should arrive from Ohio. The order was absolutely transparent and without troubles. The package arrived in 2 days after ordering though I selected the cheapest ground shipping which could take a week. Parts were securely packaged and as a bonus I got cool Summit Racing hat. My father really enjoyed it as a souvenir from my US trip. I’m looking forward to order other stuff from this internet store and I would like to recommend it to all of you who are interested in American cars parts, no matter car's age.
Eckler's Camaro
After sending the order an interesting surprise waited for me - no confirmation email and no order check functionality on the web? After two silent days I decided to write a note what the hell is going on there and why I didn't get any e-mail? The day after I finally got that confirmation mail and I could read there that the Upper Grille is not on the local store and they wait for it from some external supplier for a week approximately. Well, no problem, I can wait... but after almost two weeks nothing happened. So I wrote another e-mail that I want to buy another thing if it's on their store - Console Shift Plate. Great things get moved, it should be shipped during next day from somewhere in Florida (which is much closer than Ohio). The package shipped really slooooow and was on the target address after 8 days. Everything looked fine or at least I thought it. Surprisingly I was disappointed when I found out at home that instead of Right Headlight Bezel I got left, great! Now I got 3 left bezels at home. I wrote first e-mail about possible exchange, nothing, I wrote second e-mail, still nothing. Why I am not surprised? As we say here - when they are catching bird, they are singing to it nicely - now I am just a botherer. Even so I do not want to play a tragedy; I'll give the shop second chance because the range of their special Camaro things is really wide. Next time I will specify in the order that I really want one right and not left headlight bezel. I cannot imagine how I could utilize 4 ones.
I bought one additional baggage there because I could not arrange all the stuff in one. Of course they didn't arrive to Prague with me. I cannot remember if I ever got my baggage everywhere I arrived, interesting :-)
