Garage 4 & 1/4

Yep, the time when my Chevy Camaro will sight brand new beautiful house is coming. Maybe better said "new walls ol'round". Let's check all of those new features in following chapters.

Ceiling

After the easy batten removage we had to replace old girder just because the wood-worm family thought to have a good appetite with it. You can see it as the first one from the right side (yeah, surprisingly!). As the next task we put a wooden grid underneath the girders which holds the OSB panels. They are easier to install and smell from natural resin compared to usual plasterboards. Finally the top of the upper ceiling part was pickled with some ugly stuf against once mentioned staff.

Walls'n'Doors

Because the original wall is pretty old and therefore full of stones, you can hardly find a brick. This situation forced us to use a middle-layer before we could apply a parging. This layer is consits of 1 piece of cement, 1 piece of water and 1 piece of sand. You can imagine it like some nice grey greasy mud. Thanks to this step the parging holds like a hell, even on the stones.

As a final layer we utilized an industrial gauze fabric sticked by a construction glue. I'm not going to watch hot-babes in some night channels on the plasma TV, so this is more than a sufficient solution. The last step which is still awaiting for the walls is the final paint and lighting installation.

As you probably noticed (I'm in doubts a little if you've went pass this article down here ;-), the old shiny doors were replaced with new ones. Just check the last photo today.

This is all folks today. We're going to move further next weekend, though thanks to my promptly style of writing articles you probably would not see anything new here, really, nothing! >-)
